I rebuilt one of these little guys last summer, fun project. I took the carb off and completely cleaned all of the passages, resealed the cork float with airplane dope, replaced the fuel pump plunger washers, new gaskets from carb to block. Make sure you replace the gaskets right way-there are 2 different ones and you don’t want to block off a cooling passage. Disassemble and clean the piston pump cooling system on the lower unit-make sure all the parts are there-especially the 2 little check balls-without them it wont work. I used lubriplate 105 grease to fill the bottom end. See if you have spark-if not pull the recoil and flywheel off and clean points, check to see if coil was good-mine wasn’t and needed a replacement. Make sure you use the right plugs which are j8j’s-careful when you install the rear spark plug cover so you don’t hit the top of the plugs. The carb on mine is super touchy and took a while to get right on low and high speed adjustments. All I can think of right now,if you have any other questions give a shout.
