    I have a 74 Johnson 4hp that fell off the boat running before it was given to me. After rods & pistons I added a heavy duty water pump kit from OMC, Yes it’s been a while. I found the motor was flooding very easy & after a good tune up it ran great using the correct oil mixture per OMC & good OMC oil. Rebuild your fuel system & get it super clean for it to run well. Great little motors I found!
