Thanks very much Tubs once again for another photo,
I think I will make up a stop system that doesn’t involve drilling holes through the case and which will leave the outside looking original
Regarding the plug, I suspect that mine isn’t original either.

I haven’t had any luck yet with a photo or sketch showing how the prop shaft bearing is held with a pin and cotter pin arrangement…..the hole in the leading edge has me puzzled and the way the screw holding the water pump cam is locked, so it doesn’t undo and allow the cam to slide down the drive shaft.

Hopefully someone may be able to help.
