Never set anything on a surface that is in the
process of be painted. There is no telling
what is on the bottom of the cap. If in a few
weeks after it is painted a circle should appear
you’ll know where it came from. Only fresh
out of the box lint free paper towels should be
used to wipe the surface being painted. Once
you set a towel down it should only be use for
something else. Even freshly washed rags can
have detergent or conditioners remaining in
them that can cause a paint job to blow up.
A "Boathouse Repair" is one thats done without having tools or the skills to do it properly.
