For repairing holes or gaps in wood, check out WEST System 6-10. It is a thixotropic (shear thinning) two part epoxy paste that will not run after you apply it and is strong. It is sold in two-part cartridges (both in one cartridge) so all you have to do is squeeze some out, mix, and use. I don’t find that the mixing tube that comes with the kid is necessary and it wastes material.
