I agree with Chris. The F is worth saving but you’ll probably have a challenge finding the parts, — but, who knows! I searched for 20 years looking for the gear drive and mount for an early Caille RBM and as luck would have it, a vendor with a table of boat hardware had one mixed in with the hardware! He had no idea what it was. It had the gears and everything.
I have # 1197 which is the 197th one and it is all original….
