    A CDI ignation is totallly didderernt thab the one shown. the magnets in the flywheel charge a capacitor, about 6 times as large as the capacitor as shown. wheb the points close, not open it discharges to the coil. the type shown the magnets directly charge the coil primary windings & crosses from the primary windings thru flux lines & saturites the secondary windings looking for a discharge point via the spark plug. Two differebt ign systems/!
