Ok, it sounds like you are stuck on one of those direct drive old timers. How about a nice 1941 KD15 johnson? I have one, fixed it up a few years ago. It has not been started. It had spark at one time and it sure came out good. I also have a Evinrude light four. An award winner. I fixed it up and never started it either. PM me if you want some pictures.
