A motor can be too rich if its getting too much gas, but it can also be too rich if its not getting enough good air. Its always a good idea to place an electric fan in front of a motor blowing good air at the carb, when in a barrel. Some motors won’t run if they suck in smoke. Speeditwins spit when without a front cover.
