    not really..    a touch of grease will let them slide  in backwards  as you pull the wire back

    I like the springs one also but  all my latest jobs used Belden automotive  solid strand   7mm  with boots molded on.   they are a  it long  I just snip a bit off … the prices have exploded  but I have enough left.
