I was able to check the motor out in more detail today. I have found that shockingly (I shocked myself) there is a spark in one cylinder. It is enough to combust, as I was able to see that it combusted the gas that leaked out through the spark plug hole. I believe that the coil is still OK, but the spark plug leads on both sides are shot and can only produce spark if held in the right place. I have had some issues with the spark plug leads in the past, so it is not a very new problem. My question is whether it would be better to keep the engine all-original as a display piece because it is in good condition, or to replace just the spark plug leads. I’m at ends, and input is appreciated.
