You never know when you may stumble on one for $50.00 but the asking price for a running Cub is likely going to be $400.00 and up, depending on condition. You can easily add $200.00 to the asking price of a Mate in the same condition. It’s not uncommon for these motors to be so worn out that if they will run at all, it will only be out of the water, or with the prop off. It also common for the coil to be bad, but there is a substitute. The motors still have value as parts. I recently took a chance on a Cub for $175.00.
