My grandfather and I tried the primer cup replacement that Mumbles showed, and if you replace both the rubber pieces (with the same U-cups for both the plunger and check valve) and do the machining, it works perfect. My Zephyr starts first pull (Cold) with the primer modification. Once the primer is modified with the u-cups, just be careful not to over-prime.
