    That is the underside of the  6hp PH  and  likely had  a poor paint job. I am not to worried about the overheat for now anyway…

    PSI came up to 60+ and hopefully will come up a bit more (good enough as a trolling kicker)   cyl walls looked fine on the borescope and  side view of  rings.  manual rotation is smooth . thermostat was stuck open.

    my feeling is that this will be a good runner  and aside from outside scratches  it seems to have  hadsome TLC ..and low use thanks to cracked coils.
