I guess Leroy was off by a few years.. 🙂 when he wrote….The carburetor shown below is the basic simple standard unit but from about 1971 on using the fixed main-jet style.
noticed the shift link so pH pulling is not needed to access the shift rod but I’ll pull the PH anyway to inspect everything & maybe clean out some junk in case it is anything like my 5.5 Johnson I did 2 years go
. thankfully I have spare base gaskets for these 6hp
