    Thanks for the tip on recapturing the fuel from the drain valve.  I was wondering if there was a way to do that.  I don’t like leaving slicks in the lake, but I do enjoy this old engine.

    Once I get it out in the spring, I will see what happens when it runs.  Since the drain valve seal is cheap and easy to replace, I might replace it to see if that does it.

    If it is the crankcase seal, can I assume I need to tear down the whole engine to repair it?   🙁
