I don’t think the gas tank is attached to the motor, I haven’t worked on or owned one, but the tank on all models (as far as I know) is above the exhaust and Infront of the flywheel, unless the exhaust goes out the lower.  If you zoom in to me above the exhaust, you can see 2 pieces of metal coming off the heads and I think that is where the tank should mount.

 

I don’t know what the production run is, but I was looking in “The Old Outboard Book” by Peter Hunn because I have had good luck in the past finding the production runs that way.  The only thing I could find was it showed the model 30 racer only for 1928.  That seems correct because the circle shaped fins on the exhaust were only on the 1928 model (I think, please correct me if I am wrong).
