    Nice photos and explanations.  Do you use Plastigauge to measure the bearing clearances?

    I’m working on a 1958 Johnson 5.5 Hp (CD-15).  It shattered a connecting rod and scored the crankshaft.  If I find a replacement crank, IDK how to check that it meets specs.  I’ve seen videos of folks using Plastigauge.

    I wonder if oversize piston rings are available for your motor.
