ok for anyone following,
I scuffed the gasket lightly in a circular pattern, as well as the cylinder block top.. I wiped down the tops then polished them with isopropyl, then another light scuff, then a final polish.
same with the head, it got a circular scuff and then acetone/isopropyl rub.
Dryed and installed, 225 Inch pounds in circular pattern.
my pre-rebuild psi was:123/150+/150+/150+
my new numbers are: 144/163/151/157
I’m calculating a 11.7% range from highest pressure to lowest
((163-144)/163)=11.7%
regardless. cyls were DRY. so with a little oil I bet it’s going to skate by with the kids on the water tube
all thats left is a sea test..
I really wish I would have gotten 155,155,155,155 but it is what it is.
