For the record I was able to confirm electrically that these motors are controlled essentially by two wires: the yellow wire with red stripe (which hits the starter solenoid) and the black wire with yellow stripe (which grounds out the spark plugs)..   that’s all you really have to have to startup.

Now… this is the craziest thing I can imagine.. because if for whatever reason the black with yellow stripe wire is cut or the key switches are  compromised (or even the wire corrodes in half) you will have a runaway engine

I advise everyone to have a plan as to how to stop their motor other than the conventional way..  my personal plan is to pull the quick connects off of the front of the coils.
