Thank you for helping me, fleetwin. Sideways slop on the upper end? Not likely, I doubt it. I did a total overhaul myself. The Power head was completely dismantled in 2022/23. Crankshaft, rods and pistons went out. New pistons and rings, new seals (upper and lower in crankshaft), all gaskets are new. There is no O-ring mounted on the upper crankshaft bearing . All passages are open, guaranteed. I cannot see that the intake gaskets are wrong either.
My concern is rather the condition of the upper end of the crankshaft. It had a blueish color and was a little pitted.
Take a look at this post: https://www.aomci.org/forums/topic/crankshaft-condition/

Do you think fuel/oil it’s likely to pass between the new upper seal and the crankshaft? If so, do I have to dismantle everything again and buy a proper crankshaft in good condition? Or is there some quick fix?
