Don, the exhaust manifold seemed ok, but the exhaust housing under powerhead was blistering hot. Exactly the same as my 10HP 58 Johnson.
Here is a shot of the underside of the 28HP . The only bleed hole I could find is shown with the pointer.
I guess the next step is to pull the 33HP head and check the bleed hole?
