Thanks so much Jeff for the detailed reply!  After I get the mag off I’ll take a look under the cap, which by the way is black in color, and see if there’s anything obviously amiss, test the coil, etc, and go from there following you’re advice.  It’s good to know that I don’t necessarily need all the special tools called for in the manual, and might be able to get away with an aftermarket tension gauge.  If all else fails I’ll reach out to Travis @waterhogsworks.com.
