Buc – with the added lower groove in the carb float pin, does your cork float extend from the new lower groove all the way to the upper retainer clip groove?  Or what is the total height of your float?   I’m getting ready to test fire my Sea King project and when I installed a new float I made it the same height as the old one and I’m wondering if the new float should have been taller, shorter or the same height as the old one.

Bob, this float pin only had the groove on the bottom end, under the float.
So the two clips and the cork dropped down 1/8″ plus on my redo.

It appears to be a homemade cork float I made three years ago, and doped
with super glue…….. not even sure if the float pin is original…… I remember
stealing one from a Johnson K model for one project!
