Thanks Tubs and Buc again for your replies and that helpful photo Tubs……….that motor of yours looks fabulous!

As the motor looks like it will turn out to be a good runner I would like to have it as complete as possible.

Your idea Buc to use a copper plumbing elbow certainly has merit……. will follow it up.

Have just started the tidy up by removing and sandblasting the rusty steel tiller bracket………looking good so far.
