    Where is Minnesota are you located.  I raced D hydro (Merc 44XS) in the past and can help you out with motor set up, etc.  I also have some Mercury steering bars that will work on the 30H much better than the setup I see in the picture.
    Running this type of race boat on a lake with larger boats thus larger wakes is highly dangerous and asking for trouble like flipping the boat, injuring the driver and damaging the boat and motor.  These things are not play toys and should not be treated as such.  Just let me know if I can help.
