Tim – The 1959 18hp would be a 50th Anniv. engine as well. Has a different raised emblem denoting the anniversary. That would be a good engine to run on it. Would also disagree about the 15hp being a dog. They run pretty close to the 18hp and would be a good choice as a first engine. Can always go up from there and from the sound of it I am thinking you will go up in horsepower.
Nice job on that boat, Reynolds49 ! What is that sticking down directly in front of the gearcase?
