I ran the Hammerhead descaler on my ETEC this afternoon and cycled it through the motor for about 3 hours.  At the end of the flushing, the solution had turned a darker color and I found a few ounces of fine sand and a little shell in the bottom of the solution tub.  It also cleaned out a lot of salt scale in the thermostat housings.
