Readers should keep in mind that the replacement capacitor shown above is for inside the Merc-O-Tronic unit, NOT a replacement for an ignition condenser. In addition to capacitance and voltage rating, the magneto condenser needs to be able to charge and discharge rapidly. Not all capacitors meet this requirement, regardless of capacitance and voltage rating.
