We all know it not worth $4500.00.
What most of don’t know are the things Rick has noticed.
Thanks for responding.
More to come (Kees – T2 – Brook) I hope.
After looking at the photos in my opinion I feel this is a nice original example of a 1912 based on it’s features. As others have pointed out the tag has obviously been replaced. In my experience the shafts and bearing surfaces will most likely need to be replaced regardless how nice of an original it is, If the buyer plans on running it as much as I run my rowboat motors. As far as value I like to try to make it a practice to stay away from this as I feel that is between the seller & buyer. One thing that a potential buyer might want to take into consideration while deciding a purchase price is if the motor needs shafts & bushings (most do!) this can cost some bucks if you are not doing this work yourself.
As always opinions will vary.
