    Thanks Frank! I know it was Evinrude’s first year for the full gear shift, and remote fuel tank,
    but I thought they had “twist grip throttles” further refined by 1950!

    It seems like one of the Johnson’ QD-10’s had a set up where if you lifted the tiller
    arm up it would return the throttle to idle……. not sure how well that caught on.
