Back to the polyurethane hose question. Many years ago someone came out with a hose called Silver? 2000. It had a clear inner liner. (I believe that liner is polyurethane). It was used by all of the boat companies (52 in our area then) as the new wonder hose. Of course the inner liner (clear) separated and clogged up the works. This past summer we are still running into that same hose. It is called something else now, but not a bit better. The outside is blue now. When you put it on a barb the inside folds up. After that happens the liner is done! It separates from the outer casing and the hose is junk. This hose meets all of the latest ABYC, Coast Guard, and ethanol requirements.
I stay with a good braided (Gates if I can get it) fuel hose. Try to keep as much as possible out of the sun light.
