Lessee if I can remember this correctly. Remove the vertical throttle shaft from the side (makes it a lot easier to reassemble). Disconnect the carb links 9 & 10 from the needle valves. That stuff just snaps together. Remove the choke knob. Disconnect the fuel hose. Now the powerhead should be ready to lift off, assuming you have all 7 screws removed. Yes, it probably will destroy the gasket.
