Don, the secondary ohms where within spec. Is that the resistance test you were referring to?
Unfortunately the evil coil is already headed back to Amazon for a refund, so I can’t run any additional checks on it.
Yes it was pretty disappointing vacation after working all year on restoring the boat, and the motor. Sad thing was I had 4 good coils sitting in my workshop 300 miles away, along with my flywheel puller. Next summer a lot of my tools and spare parts just won an all expense paid vacation to the lake house.
