Pat I don’t know what a 35 elgin looks like but a friend of mine had a force outboard and they took the exhaust direction tube off. The exhaust was directed down on the propeller and the boat would barely make 20 mph. Is there a lot of bubblie water around the propeller area. Propeller catching to much air? Just a thought!
