I finally got the drive shaft out of the shock absorber / slip clutch
today. I couldn’t tell that the shock absorber housing was in
two parts. The "shock drive hub" goes inside the "shock housing"
and is pinned. The heat and pee oil from the prior day must
have worked it’s magic as I started seeing evidence that
"just maybe" it was two pieces!
Anyway, all apart, cleaned, painted and re-assembled.
Hopefully the photo will help the next clueless fellow.
