You can’t really judge a motors value by looking at ones for sale on Ebay as many sellers there seem to think there’s is the last one in existence with an inflated value and price it accordingly. In reality they are dime a dozen motors and only worth a fraction of the selling price.
Now your motors may be different. If your collections contains a truly rare or scarce model, then it will be worth more than a more common outboard. As mentioned, it might be best to try and find a knowledgeable club member who can help you out and figure out a true current value.
