Quick update, I got the new rotor from Brian, much better fit. Greased the lower unit and put it back together. Haven’t had time to try running it yet.

I did put the compression gauge on it tonight. I was showing 70psi after several pulls. Is that enough or is it a likely cause of my hard starting before now? I don’t know how accurate my gauge is, my only comparison is it reads 100psi on both cylinders of my 1991 Evinrude 9.9hp which I believe is fairly low hours.

What’s normal or good compression on one of these?
