    Hmmm…Now thats got me thinkin. I have a parts 58′ Johnson CD with the newer style gear. It sounds like it may be possible to replace both the long and the short gear/shaft. Will check the ‘flat’ configuration at the tiller grip. The lengths will have to work also.
