Like Seakaye says, I surely don’t want to discourage you from buying this engine, if it is indeed a model that you have a connection with, or really want. I just think it is way over priced unless the seller can prove it has had mechanical work done that is much better than the paint job that was slapped on. Listen to Bill, this is not an engine to take on for the casual enthusiast, it is much more complex than the similar models offered by OMC of that era. That doesn’t mean it isn’t a great running/performing engine, just more complex.
