I got my Chinese FD/Fastwin water pump kit. The housing is some sort of metal, not plastic. It is just painted, powder-coated, anodized or something; so it is black in appearance. Measurement-wise, it seems good, for all the world like OEM. The wear plate is not raised in the middle like the new OEMs but the old OEMs weren’t, either. It appears blue in the picture because it is shipped with a protective plastic covering. A magnet doesn’t stick to it; so no tricks there. Impeller looks like it might work. Supplied screws don’t seem of good quality. Overall, I guess it is worth a try, since I have it; but I really only saved $20.
