As I remember them, there were two core sizes. Beyond that, there were two types of insulation material, the old original orange shellac which are nearly indestructible and the later black stuff that destructed (cracked) within a couple of years. Moving on, there were two types of spark plug wire attachment, tab type and plug-in type. Finally, there were the aftermarket ones, which you apparently have.

So, bottom line, if they fit the cores, use them. You may have to change the plug wires, but you are going to do that anyway, right?
