    since you should do the impeller on a NEW TO YOU motor, and that needs a powerhead removal may as well check the PH base gasket .
    it could be just a loose or missing bolt 7 are needed to hold the PH

    when you get a new base gasket .. if damaged …. make certain you get the proper one since the patterns differ a bit
