    You might think I’m going nuts coming up with this suggestion, but going on my successful use of JB Weld,
    I would be tempted to clean the broken surfaces and build the casting up and if you have the taps required,
    rethread where the brass elbow is screwed in and the brass bung and filter are fitted

    The float valve area wouldn’t be affected going on the photo.

    PS Here we go again!
    Covid has just been discovered in Auckland again after being clear for about 6 mths, so again the country is in lockdown level 4………..not sure where it came in.
