    I’m not sure what the reeds look like on your motor, but I’m guessing it would be a challenge
    to make reeds for any motor, cutting them out, drilling, etc., and keeping them flat and true.

    Are your crankshaft bushings in good shape with no side play in the crankshaft, and
    the crankcase otherwise sealed tight?
