From the several “no spark” Lausons that I have seen, the problem is very obvious. The coil insulation, a tar like substance had melted and flowed onto the mag plate. That “tar” is . I believe hard pitch like the stuff that the old roofers used to chunk – up and melt and pump up onto factory roofs.
