    OK, with that, I assume you are correct, it is corrosion that is holding the front stud. The picture I posted was a previous model which did have 3 fasteners, but it doesn’t apply to your 1960 model.

    BTW, for whatever it is worth, OMC had a similar setup in their 1960s vintage motors. Seized studs were the norm for them after use in salt water. I’ve had to resort to hacksawing them apart. Let’s hope you don’t have to do that with your Scott.
