Following your advice I have managed to get it all apart and found a very obvious problem… the impeller is essentially non existant (had no fins left). I have attatched some photos to hopefully help with identification.
Also, i have not been able to find all of the broken pieces of the impeller, i guess i now have to go searching through the rest the of the motor to find them hahah? 🙁 Any tips or advice for next steps?
