Bonjour! You are correct, there are no marks on the cam, but there are on the gas tank ring. Look carefully at the word ‘SLOW’ and you will see two little dots cast into the ring. The speed control lever must be placed between the dots and the linkage adjusted so the carbs butterfly is just starting to open at the same time.
