OMC did go Bankrupt December 23 2000. A very fine Christmas present for customers, dealers , employees and stockholders. In about February 2001 Bombardier purchased the outboard portion of OMC. About 2008 Bombardier rebranded as Bombardier Recreational Products the entire company except planes and trains. BRP as they are known has been a disaster call em BuRP. In 2007 the last Johnson outboards were built and last May or June the last Evinrudes were produced. Has been talk of a new technology but no news yet. As of two weeks ago the BuRP web site has had errors on the parts look up and would not work. As of now 12:18 PDT 04/25/2021 it still will not work.
